LED keyboard drives major change

Smart Display System Expected to Shake Up Game Support

A well designed LED Keyboard is a positive change driver in games. Keyboards with configurable symbols are evolving into a major change driver because they are also clever displays.

Both the LED and O-led versions of this concept are quite ingenious.

If keys are lit as small programmable LED displays then the entire keyboard becomes reconfigurable. Now this is going to drive a whole new generation of games.

The Optimus Keyboard

The ultimate in LED game drivers - the Optimus keyboard by the Art Lebedev studio uses organic LED (OLED) display technology to cutomise key images on the fly. So just imagine ... what ELSE you can deduct from these pictures as to the future of LED electronic games might take.

In terms of inventiveness and ingenuity Art Lebedev is now up there somewhere together with Erno Rubik, In fact, with the Rubiks Revolution the inventor of the famous Rubiks cube also looks to LED light for rejuvenation of his popular game.

Update

I was just about to write on LED laser keyboards, when came accross this beauty: Apple Spice concept by Fred de Garilhe.

The Spice -- Keboard PC Concept

Look closer. The keyboard is projected from the tip of the PC onto the the desk. And see that little flash midway behind the top member of this PC 'finger'? That's actually a projector,. It projects the display onto the wall or larger projector screen. Bit like home cinema, only smaller.

Guess the only thing that is missing is a desk lamp function, which given LED light is used, should not be a big problem. We see a host of projector PC, laptop and mobile concept designs. But this takes the cake -- has solid projecting point, potentially very modular and above all: a great rethink. All fitting my product rules for review selection just fine.
